Using force or invoking fear in order to steal someone else's property a personal counter along with a threat must occur for the crime to be considered robbery and a threat or burglary.

Burglary

Burglary is often defined as breaking and entering any type of residence, store, office  or vehicle, day or night with the intent to stealing or with the intent to perform a different crime.

Punishment for robbery and/or burglary, depending on the degree of conviction, can be to a maximum of 25 years in jail $20,000 in fines and penalties and probation for many years to follow.
